Hi! Welcome to English for Health Professionals lessons and podcasts. You will learn vocabulary and expressions to help you communicate effectively, in English, in a hospital setting.
What will I learn?
You will listen to discussions between health professionals and patients, learn useful expressions and vocabulary, and answer key questions related to the following topics: receiving a patient, health and sickness, complaints, functions of the body, signs and symptoms, taking a medical history, examining a patient, systems of the body, caring for a patient, therapy and movement, and patient confidentiality.
In each section, complete the preparation activities, repeat the key words and phrases, and listen to the podcasts. You can replay the podcasts as many times as you would like. You can also download the podcasts and listen to them on the go!
